This is the second most viewed episode of Cartoon Beatbox Battles, with it garnering 85 million views as of August 2024. It's highly known just like Darkseid Vs Thanos for the memes that have been made out of it.

Plot[]
Mario Vs Sonic - Cartoon Beatbox Battles
Flashback[]
The episode starts with a flashback of Episode 7, revealing Thanos to be the winner. Thanos states that Verbal ASE shouldn't be surprised, as all who challenge him will fail. Thanos then teleports out of the ring. Verbal then calms down, saying that he does NOT want to play video games with that guy. Ase then announced two more competitors from those video games, while stating they both like to jump, run and collect coins.
Introducing the competitors[]
Mario gets introduced first, jumping, and says that he's "ready for the spaghetti". Verbalase reminds Mario that it's not an eating contest, with Patrick agreeing, but also points out that Verbal Ase doesn't have any food. Mario gets sad when he hears this. Getting annoyed, Verbal says that he'll get some food for Mario and Patrick after the match. He then introduces Sonic, while making fun of the blue hedgehog by saying "chili can make you fart, so that's probably how he got the extra speed". Sonic first runs around when introduced. Mario says his fiery blaze smells like "bad chili", with Sonic coming back at Mario, saying he smells like "used toilet paper". Verbal Ase tries to break it up, with Mario dissing at Sonic again. After this, Verbalase starts Mario's beatbox round.

Mario's beatbox round[]
Mario's round begins with the Piranha Plants singing before Mario jumps froms the ground, then he lays down 3 chili dogs and smiles before stomping on all 3 of them. Mario then starts stomping his feet and snapping his fingers which then cuts to him hitting the shoot. Mario then acquires his fire flower powerup and puts a barrel over Sonic covering up his nakedness. Mario then pulls out a guitar and starts playing it while beatboxing, then he goes Mario time and starts changing his powerups before throwing his hat and ending the round.

After Mario's beatbox round, Verbal Ase states that Mario was maybe or maybe not be playing around. Sonic criticizes it, stating it sounded too slow, with Mario stating that Sonic likes to do everything fast, "if you know what I mean!". After this, Sonic's beatbox round starts.
Super Sonic.

Sonic first moonwalks, with a green red and blue lighting in the background. Sonic's eyes then turn into a speed tracker, turning at 130 mph. Sonic is then seen in a racing stadium, with him jumping into his racing car, blowing Mario away. Sonic is then seen next to Peach's castle, where he steals Peach. Later then, Sonic is seen with the chaos emeralds. He then turns into Super Sonic, which causes a giant explosion. Sonic is then seen doing the loser gesture and floss with two Metal Sonics. After that, he transforms back to normal Sonic.
Post-Sonic's beatbox round[]
After Sonic's round, Mario states that it's sound like stutter. Sonic states that at least he does not say "it's-a-da" before anything then Sonic counts to 3 then he said "Hey Mario! It's-a-da-dumb!". Then Mario starts calling Sonic a naked hedgehog who can't swim. Pennywise states that he could teach Sonic how to float. Spongebob tells Sonic to not feel bad, stating that he can't swim either, but Black Panther states that Spongebob and Patrick lives in underwater, and Patrick tells Black Panther that he can still drown. Verbal Ase then asks what Patrick is talking about, reminding that he can't drown because he's a fish. He then realizes and asks why Pennywise, Spongebob, Black Panther, Patrick, and Groot are in the beatboxing ring. Black Panther answers by stating that someone "broke wind". Deadpool is seen with Sonic eating chimichangas with chili on them, calling it "Chili Chimichangas". Verbal Ase gags, due to the smell and tells the Youtubers and viewers to comment down below to determine who won the battle, stating that he'll 'smell' them later, using a can of spray to get the smell away.

- Verbal Ase claims that Mario and Sonic collect coins; this is half true, as Sonic's collectibles are gold rings.
- Verbal Ase makes a grammatical error by telling Mario that Cartoon Beatbox Battles is "not a eating contest." He should've said "an".
- Verbal Ase claims that Sonic turns Badniks into animals. Sonic actually frees the animals from their Badnik shells.
- Verbal Ase calls Mario's Tanooki power up a squirrel; ironically, there is a squirrel-based power-up: the Super Acorn.
- In a frame of 4:48, the bottom of Sonic's left glove is blue.
- In the first frame of when Sonic and the two Metal Sonics are dancing, there is a picture of a transparent image on the side.
- In the ending of the episode, Mario is missing his buttons.
- In 2:58, Sonic's legs are the same color as his skin.
- In 5:29, Sonic has 5 quills instead of 6.
- In 5:49 and 5:53, Sonic has a yellow arm.
- In the post-credits, it appears that the noodles are going up Mario's nose. This may or may not have been intended.
- Mario is sometimes seen being taller than usual in some shots.
- Super Sonic's quills are shown to be the same as regular Sonic's in most shots. Super Sonic is shown to have quills that bend up in his games.
